Construction Administration, Inspection Services And Quality Assurance For Windsor Woods, Princess Anne Plaza, And The Lakes

Background

The City of Virginia Beach is seeking qualified firms for a multi-phase project aimed at improving locations within Windsor Woods, Princess Anne Plaza, and The Lakes. The goal of this contract is to provide construction administration, inspection services, and quality assurance for various drainage improvement projects as part of the City’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP).

Work Details

The contract includes a range of services such as: environmental permitting, agency coordination, mitigation; survey review; geotechnical review; utility coordination, designation, and relocation; property and easement coordination; compliance with construction documents and all relevant codes and standards; review of construction cost models; value analysis and engineering; construction scheduling and phasing; public outreach and informational meetings; commissioning; technical operation maintenance equipment information and training; project closeout; as-builts plan preparation; quality assurance provision; final inspection, acceptance, and warranty period. The awarded contract will cover the following specific projects: 1. 100553 - Windsor Woods - Thalia Creek/Lake Trashmore Improvements 2. 100487 - Windsor Woods Pump Station 3. 100605 - Windsor Woods Flood Barriers 4. 100521 - The Lakes South London Bridge Creek Channels and Gate 5. 100418 - The Lakes - Holland Road Gate 6. 100604 - The Lakes Flood Barriers 7. 100517 - Princess Anne Plaza North London Bridge Creek Pump Station.

Period of Performance

Bidder Requirements

Bidders are encouraged to submit a Small Business Subcontracting Participation Plan detailing SWaM-certified businesses they intend to utilize for the services outlined in the scope. Compliance with SWaM participation goals is strongly encouraged. Additionally, firms providing design services for the City will not be permitted to submit qualifications for this contract.
