In-Person Special Education Services

Background

The Fauquier County Government and Public Schools, located in Virginia, is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide in-person special education services. The county has experienced consistent population growth and has a diverse public school system that includes multiple educational institutions. The goal of this contract is to ensure that necessary special education services are available to students when regular staff are unavailable due to absence or vacancies.

Work Details

The selected firm(s) will provide the following in-person special education services: 1. Occupational Therapy (evaluations and therapy sessions) 2. Physical Therapy (evaluations and therapy sessions) 3. Speech Therapy (evaluations and therapy sessions) 4. RN Services (operating a school clinic) 5. Psychological evaluation services for eligibility determination under I.D.E.A. 6. Behavior Specialist services 7. Teachers of the Visually Impaired 8. Teachers of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing 9. Special Education Teachers. All personnel must be properly licensed according to state and federal regulations.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the contract will be for three years starting on July 1, 2026, with options for seven additional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance

Services will be provided at various locations within Fauquier County Public Schools.

Bidder Requirements

Offerors must be licensed in accordance with Fauquier County's Business, Professional, and Occupational Licensing requirements. They must also maintain valid registration with the Virginia State Corporation Commission during the contract term. Insurance coverage as specified in the Insurance Checklist must be obtained prior to commencing work.
