Diamond Mountain Guzzler Component Transportation Flights

Background

The State of Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR) is seeking to enter into a contract for helicopter services to transport personnel and supplies necessary for the repair of wildlife guzzlers across seven sites in Uintah and Daggett Counties. The goal of this contract is to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials and personnel to remote locations, thereby supporting wildlife conservation efforts in the region.

Work Details

The contractor will provide approximately eight (8) hours of on-site helicopter time to transport personnel and various guzzler repair supplies to seven (7) designated sites. The work will include: - Transporting UDWR personnel and materials such as lumber, sheeting, roofing materials, and assorted supplies. - Helicopter must be capable of lifting loads between 800 to 2,000 pounds. - A safety officer and UDWR personnel will be on-site for loading and drop-off assistance. - All loads must be bundled and secured by UDWR personnel. - The contractor must provide all necessary equipment including a fuel truck at staging areas, long lines, netting, and other sling load equipment. - Work is expected to be completed in one day with a pre-work conference held to maximize efficiency.

Period of Performance

The contract work period is scheduled from June 8th to June 19th, 2026, with all work anticipated to be completed within one workday.

Place of Performance

The helicopter operations will take place at various sites in Uintah and Daggett Counties, Utah. Specific locations include two staging areas with elevations ranging from 6,900 feet to 8,500 feet.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide references from the last three related jobs including employer contact information, type of work performed, type of helicopter used, days taken to complete the job, and crew size. Bids should be submitted on a per/hour basis with total project costs inclusive of all mobilization and operational costs without fuel surcharges or adjustments.
