Background

The East Orange Board of Education in East Orange, New Jersey, is seeking competitive bids for annual fire alarm inspections, repairs, and services district-wide. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and compliance of fire alarm systems across all educational facilities within the district.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for conducting annual inspections of fire alarm systems, performing necessary repairs, and providing ongoing maintenance services. Specific tasks include: - Comprehensive inspection of all fire alarm systems in district buildings. - Repairing any identified issues with the fire alarm systems. - Providing documentation of inspections and repairs performed. - Ensuring compliance with local fire codes and regulations. - Responding to service calls for emergency repairs as needed.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is expected to cover the period from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various locations within the East Orange School District in East Orange, New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. regarding affirmative action requirements. A bid bond or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount (not exceeding $20,000) is required. Bidders must also submit a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor Questionnaire/Certification with their bid package.
