Background

The Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is issuing this Quick Quote to obtain a fixed price bid from qualified contractors for asphalt paving services. The goal is to prepare the roadway and driveway at Gates Farm Lane for paving, ensuring that the work aligns with the agency's mission to maintain and enhance public recreational spaces.

Work Details

Scratch existing potholes and mill tie-in joints as necessary. 3. Add stone to bring surfaces to existing height, crown, and compact as required. 4. Apply a liquid asphalt tack coat followed by a 2-inch overlay of SM 9.5 surface mix. 5. Ensure smooth transitions with shoulder work where applicable, using shoulder stone. 6. Final grade of asphalt in driveway must match surrounding yard areas. 7. Crown and grade roadway to improve drainage and runoff where applicable. 8. Implement flagging through construction areas as needed during the project duration. 9. Dispose of all removed gravel and pavement responsibly.
