Background

The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is responsible for protecting the public and reducing crime by holding youth accountable and providing opportunities for reformation in safe environments. The agency serves youth committed to state custody due to criminal acts across Oregon's 36 counties, offering various services including parole and probation, residential care, treatment support, and crime prevention programs. The contract aims to secure commercial office cleaning services for the Deschutes Parole & Probation Office.

Work Details

The contractor will provide commercial office cleaning services at the Deschutes County Parole and Probation Office located at 62910 OB Riley Rd, Suite 204, Bend, OR 97703. Cleaning will occur once a week before 8 AM or after 5 PM on weekdays. Areas to be cleaned include: - Entryway - Lobby - Individual offices - Common areas - Break rooms - Kitchenette - Bathrooms Specific tasks include dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, taking out garbage and recycling, cleaning bathrooms and kitchenette areas, wiping down hard surfaces and monitors, and cleaning entryway floors and windows. The contractor must supply all cleaning materials using eco-friendly products.

Period of Performance

The contract term is estimated to be two years with an option to extend for an additional five years.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with insurance requirements including Workers’ Compensation Insurance coverage as per Oregon law. They must also provide Commercial General Liability Insurance with a minimum of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate limit. Additionally, bidders should ensure that all employees who will have direct contact with Agency youth pass a criminal records check based on OYA standards.
