8-Foot Chain Link Garden Fence - Cherokee Nation Natural Resources

Background

The Cherokee Nation is accepting bids for the material and installation of an 8-foot Chain Link Garden Fence for the Ethnobiology Department of Natural Resources located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The goal of this contract is to provide a secure enclosure for a new garden area to prevent deer intrusion.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and installation for an 8-foot tall chain link fence enclosure. The specifications include: - Enclosure dimensions: 70 ft x 35 ft (rectangular), totaling approximately 210 linear feet. - Fence height: 8 feet tall, made of commercial-grade chain link fencing that is black coated (vinyl/PVC-coated or equivalent). - Materials must include all posts, rails, chain link fabric, fittings/hardware, and concrete for post installation. - Installation must be turnkey, including layout, post setting, chain link installation, tensioning, bracing, and site cleanup. - Two gates (6 feet wide each) must be installed centered on each short side of the enclosure with hinges and latch hardware that are padlock-compatible. The contractor is responsible for ensuring gate alignment and smooth operation upon completion.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to be completed within a specified number of working days following acceptance of the bid and receipt of a Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Cherokee Nation Natural Resources Office located at Markoma Campus in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of current TERO certification from the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) to qualify for Indian preference. All bids must include a completed mandatory bid response sheet with all areas filled out. Additionally, bidders must comply with insurance requirements including general liability and worker's compensation coverage.
