Work Details The Contractor shall provide comprehensive fish rearing and outdoor pond rearing operational support services necessary to maintain delta smelt health, survival, and program objectives. Services include: - Conducting daily feeding of fish according to Service-approved protocols; - Monitoring fish behavior and health; - Collecting and reporting water quality parameters; - Inspecting and operating pond systems; - Maintaining tanks and equipment; - Implementing predator management measures; - Assisting with fish evaluations; - Safely disposing of mortalities; - Inspecting site infrastructure; - Responding to weather-related events; - Maintaining logs of activities; - Assisting government personnel during inspections and audits; - Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a specified period that includes a 30-day phase-in/phase-out period to ensure continuity of services. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the Bouldin Island Fish Rearing Project facilities, which are located in collaboration with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
