2026 Fairhope Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation

Background

The City of Fairhope, located in Baldwin County, Alabama, is seeking to rehabilitate sewer manholes and lining of terra cotta piping within its utility jurisdiction. The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure of the city’s sewer system through effective rehabilitation techniques, ensuring longevity and compliance with sanitary standards.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the rehabilitation of brick manholes using a polymer liner system (minimum 500 mil thickness) and cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining for terra cotta pipes. Key tasks include: - Investigation to determine the extent of repairs needed for each manhole and pipe section. - Application of a protective polymer lining to seal cracks and provide corrosion resistance. - CIPP lining installation using epoxy vinylester or polyester thermosetting resin. - Bench/invert repairs within manholes as needed. - Removal of existing manhole liners where applicable. - Ground protection mats installation to prevent damage during operations. - Traffic control measures as required during construction activities.

Period of Performance

The project is expected to be completed within 180 calendar days following a 15-day notice to proceed period.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in designated areas throughout Baldwin County within the City of Fairhope’s utility jurisdiction.

Bidder Requirements
