Background

The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB #A10-04-26-9139) for the rehabilitation of a home located in Cherokee County. Work Details

The scope of work includes various repairs and installations: 1. Carpentry: Replace subflooring in two bathrooms and kitchen with new 3/4" smooth plywood. 2. Drywall & Finish: Replace and finish drywall on ceilings in bathrooms, matching existing surfaces. 3. Electrical: Install a new bathroom light fixture that includes a heater and vent fan, ensuring proper venting to code. 4. Flooring: Install waterproof vinyl flooring planks in the kitchen and bathrooms, including base trim, with specified warranties on materials. 5. Plumbing: Check the entire plumbing system for leaks; replace commodes with high-rise handicap models in both bathrooms, including necessary fittings. 6. Roofing: Replace shingles with Heritage fiberglass shingles that have a 30-year warranty, along with necessary flashing and vents. 7. Thermal Protection: Add R-30 insulation in the attic covering air-conditioned spaces.

Period of Performance

The work must be completed within 35 working days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP), which is expected to be issued within two weeks of bid acceptance.

The contract will be performed at a residential property located in Cherokee County, Oklahoma.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be TERO certified through the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office; proof of certification must accompany all bids. The successful bidder must comply with Tribal rules and regulations, including payment of applicable fees associated with TERO certification.
