Teledyne Air Pollution Instrument Parts and Repairs

Work Requested

The County is seeking information from vendors regarding their capability to provide parts and repair services for TAPI Ambient Air Monitors manufactured by Teledyne API. Specifically, the County is interested in determining if there are alternative sources, other than Wilbur Technical Services, LLC, that can supply these parts and repairs. Teledyne API has partnered with JJ Wilbur to help reduce the backlog of repairs at the TAPI factory.

Requesting Entity

This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by the County's Purchasing Department.

Background

The County has identified Wilbur Technical Services, LLC as the sole or most reasonable source for the required parts and repair services for Teledyne API Ambient Air Monitors. The purpose of this RFI is to determine if the specified commodity or service is available from multiple providers, or if an alternative commodity or service exists that would meet the County's needs. This notice is not a request for pricing or a purchase commitment.

Contract Requirements

- Vendors must be able to provide parts and repair services for TAPI Ambient Air Monitors from Teledyne API. - Vendors may submit a written explanation or other documentation contesting the proposed sole source designation. - All submissions must demonstrate that the commodity or service is comparable, available from multiple suppliers, and meets the County's requirements. - The Director of Purchasing will have sole authority in determining comparability.

- Interested vendors should respond to this RFI through the electronic bidding system. - Vendors are encouraged to upload supporting information and documentation as part of their response. - The RFI will remain open until the specified closing date and time.

Additional Information

The Director of Purchasing will review all submittals and notify submitting vendors of the determination.
