Background The U.S. Coast Guard Station Lorain in Ohio requires a comprehensive upgrade of its interior and exterior electrical and lighting systems within the Boat House. The existing systems are outdated, necessitating this upgrade to enhance energy efficiency, improve safety and security through better illumination, and support the installation of new government-furnished equipment. The project must adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including DHS procurement requirements. Work Details The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, tools, permits, and supervision to perform the following tasks: 1. Interior Lighting System: - Decommission, demolish, and dispose of existing interior high-bay and wall-mounted lighting fixtures and associated conduit/wiring. - Install at least 10 new high-bay LED light fixtures (Metalux UHBS2 Selectable High Bay type or equivalent). - Run necessary branch wiring, conduit, and junction boxes to connect new fixtures to the existing electrical panel. - Install two new 3-way light switches for control over lighting zones. 2. Exterior Lighting System: - Decommission existing exterior floodlights/wall packs as required. - Install 4 to 6 new LED floodlight/wall pack fixtures (Lumark AP Wall Pack WPS/WPM/WPL Series or equivalent). - Install one fixture at the gate entrance, two along the north drive, and one on the west side facing the river. - Run new circuit extensions for new fixture locations and install a time clock for automated control of exterior lighting. 3. Fan Installation & Electrical Support: - Install two Government-Furnished 'Big Ass Fans' (POWERFOIL® 6 HVLS FAN) with dedicated electrical circuits. 4. Electrical System Modifications: - Decommission one 220V lift breaker/outlet and remove associated conduit; decommission shore plug from electrical panel. Period of Performance The contract is expected to commence within 10 calendar days after award and must be completed within 30 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed.
