Lower Gwynedd Township is seeking proposals for Traffic Signal and ADA Improvements at the intersection of Penllyn Pike and Trewellyn Avenue/Old Penllyn Pike in Montgomery County, PA. The goal of this contract is to enhance traffic management and ensure compliance with ADA standards.

Work Details

The project includes the following key components: - Clearing and grubbing of the site. - Class 1 excavation and sawcutting. - Installation of Superpave asphalt mixture for base, binder, and wearing courses. - Construction of plain cement concrete curb and sidewalks, including driveway aprons. - Installation of traffic signal supports (various heights), pedestrian signals, vehicular signal heads, and necessary electrical components such as conduits and junction boxes. - Implementation of pavement markings using hot thermoplastic materials. - Maintenance and protection of traffic during construction activities.

Period of Performance

The work is to be completed within 240 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, which includes a 30-day testing period.

The contract will be performed at the intersection of Penllyn Pike and Trewellyn Avenue/Old Penllyn Pike within Lower Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County, PA.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of competency in accordance with Pennsylvania regulations, including pre-qualification as a PennDOT contractor. A bid bond of 10% of the total bid is required with all proposals. Compliance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act is mandatory.
