Ada County Jail Video Booth

Background

Ada County, on behalf of the Ada County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO), is seeking proposals for the immediate purchase, delivery, and installation of a booth enclosure designed to facilitate secure video conferencing between inmates and professional visitors (e.g., attorneys and clergy) at the Ada County Jail. The jail has a rated capacity of 1,116 inmates and operates with an average population of 1,029 across twelve housing units. The goal is to enhance communication while ensuring security and privacy in a correctional environment. The project must comply with fiscal regulations and be completed by September 30, 2026.

Work Details

The contract involves providing one (1) standalone, durable, soundproof, and accessible booth enclosure that meets specific requirements: - Constructed of durable, tamper-resistant materials suitable for a correctional facility. - Includes tamper-resistant viewing windows for clear sightlines from staff areas. - Capable of being locked from the outside to secure inmates inside. - Soundproof or designed to significantly reduce sound to maintain confidentiality. - Complies with ADA accessibility standards. - Adequate ventilation for occupant health and safety. - Meets fire and life-safety codes with appropriate features. - Designated area for mounting an ACSO-owned Cisco Webex Desk device with a protective metal cover (27” x 22”). Additionally, if a built-in device enclosure is included, it must accommodate the Cisco Webex Desk Pro device while allowing clear audio and video functionality.

Period of Performance

The period of performance for this contract is from the date of award until September 30, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Ada County Jail located at 7200 Barrister Drive, Boise, ID 83704.

Bidder Requirements

Proposers must be licensed to do business in Idaho. Employees and subcontractors must obtain security clearance from the County and sign a confidentiality agreement before performing any services on-site. Insurance requirements include workers' compensation, employers' liability insurance, commercial general liability insurance with specific coverage limits, and business automobile liability insurance.
