Pickens County Health Department Remodel and Renovation

Background

The Pickens County Health Department, part of the North Georgia Health District and the Georgia Department of Public Health, is seeking proposals from qualified General Contractors for the interior renovation and remodel of its 6,425 square foot facility located at 60 Health Way, Jasper, GA 30143. The goal of this project is to enhance patient flow, privacy, accessibility, and overall client experience.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, fees, and supervision necessary to complete the project in compliance with applicable building codes and healthcare facility regulations. The proposal must address the following objectives: 1. Remodel Clerical & Administration Area - including removal of existing storage units and workstations, reconfiguration for HIPAA compliance with three intake windows, installation of new workstations with locking storage, creation of two additional rooms including an immunization room with dedicated circuits for vaccine storage. 2. Create a Larger Staff Breakroom - by removing walls and replacing kitchen fixtures. 3. Convert Restroom to ADA Compliance - remodel area between Exam Rooms 1 and 2 to meet ADA specifications. 4. Convert Two Small Exam Rooms into One Larger Exam Room - combining Exam Rooms 3 and 4 with necessary structural changes. 5. Convert Two Exam Rooms into Offices - repurposing Exam Rooms 5 and 6 as offices. 6. Update Restroom Fixtures - replace fixtures in five restrooms including touchless faucets and grab bars. 7. Interior Painting - preparation and painting of existing spaces with approved colors. 8. Flooring - removal of existing flooring and installation of new commercial-grade flooring throughout the facility. 9. LED Lighting - replacement of light fixtures with LED lighting throughout the building including additional installations as needed based on layout changes. 10. Additional Items - including built-in cabinetry in conference room alcove, replacement of cabinetry in Drug Storage Room and various exam rooms, modifications to HVAC configuration for airflow issues, installation of hands-free bottle filling station water fountain, ceiling tile replacement for consistency, relocation/installing electrical outlets for wall-mounted TVs in designated rooms.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a specified timeline that will be outlined in the proposal submission but is expected to commence upon contract award.

The work will be performed at the Pickens County Health Department located at 60 Health Way, Jasper, GA 30143.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of licensure, insurance, bonding, an E-Verify Affidavit along with their proposal which should include contractor information and contact details, experience and qualifications, proposed design and approach, project timeline, cost proposal (itemized), and three references.
