Background
The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) is seeking bids for plumbing and steamfitting services at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove (WVH-UG), a multi-building long-term care facility for veterans and their eligible spouses/dependents. The facility requires ongoing maintenance and repair of its plumbing and heating/cooling systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Work Details
The contractor will provide full-service, on-call plumbing and steamfitting maintenance and repair services, including but not limited to: - Plumbing from the water supply pump to the initial pressure tank and connection to the existing water distribution system. - Installation and/or repair of sewer and water service piping. - Major repairs to faucets, valves, pipes, and appliances. - Repair or replacement of automatic valves, waste, or drainage pipes. - Miscellaneous plumbing and steamfitting components required for WVH-UG buildings. - Emergency services as needed. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, and incidental work necessary to perform these services competently.
Period of Performance
The contract will initially run for two years with the possibility of three one-year renewals based on mutual agreement.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have been in business providing plumbing and steamfitter services for at least five years.
