Interpreting and Translation Services

Background

The State of Rhode Island is issuing this solicitation for MPA 54 Interpreting and Translation Services to establish a Master Price Agreement (MPA) for interpreting and translation services of oral and/or written words. The goal is to provide necessary language services to support various state agencies and ensure effective communication across diverse populations. This contract will be open for all vendors to respond, with the intention of creating a qualified vendor list for future projects.

Work Details

The contract encompasses the provision of interpreting and translation services, including but not limited to: - Oral interpretation services in various languages. - Written translation services for documents. - Specific requirements may include on-demand telephonic interpreting services as outlined in the attached documents. Vendors are expected to demonstrate their capabilities in providing these services effectively.

Period of Performance

The contract period is set from June 12, 2026, through May 31, 2030, with the possibility of renewal for up to four additional 12-month periods based on vendor performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within the State of Rhode Island, with specific locations determined by the needs of the state agencies utilizing these services.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must register in Ocean State Procures™ to submit proposals. They are required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including maintaining necessary licenses throughout the contract term. Insurance requirements include liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence and other specified coverages as detailed in the solicitation. Additionally, vendors must submit an MBE Participation Acknowledgment Form as part of their proposal.
