Background The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Region 5 in Chicago is seeking to procure an automated Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) Cleanup System. Work Details The contract requires the delivery of an automated gel permeation chromatography system that meets the following specifications: - Must conform to the requirements while being Brand Name or Equal to the J2 Scientific PrepLinc2 system. - Capable of performing EPA method 3640A for cleaning up environmental samples. - Must operate using dichloromethane or without it, with consumables for both included. - Should independently run a sequence of at least 20 samples. - Ancillary hardware, including a computer for operating the GPC, must be provided. - Latest data acquisition and analysis software compatible with Windows 11 must be included. - Installation and training services are required. - On-site technician service for immediate setup of the GPC method must be included. - Shipping to the laboratory must be covered. - An extended warranty is required, along with a service contract if preventative maintenance is not covered by warranty. The prior work involved purchase, delivery, and installation of the same PrepLinc2 gel permeation chromatography system, which aligns with the current requirement for an automated GPC cleanup system meeting EPA method 3640A and including installation/training and support.
