Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking potential sources for police radio communication equipment to support operational communications and enhance mission-critical response capabilities for the VA Hospital of the Ozarks Police Service. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to define the procurement strategy for a forthcoming solicitation. Delivery is required within 60 days after receipt of order to the designated location at VA Fayetteville Arkansas health care. Period of Performance 60 days after receipt of order. Place of Performance Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, 1100 North College Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72703. Bidder Requirements Vendors must provide documentation regarding: 1. Manufacturing location of the requested items. 2. Compliance with the Non-Manufacturer Rule (NMR). 3. Authorization as a distributor with access to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. 4. Business size classification (small business concerns encouraged). 5. Availability under any Government Wide Agency Contract (GWAC), GSA Schedule, IDIQ, or BPA. Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail) This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent and/or closely related prior contract based on VA police radio support work awarded to Motorola Solutions under contract 36C25626P0627 (EO 14398), valued at $30,000 for emergency service repair of campus-wide VA police radios (04/28/26–04/27/27). The prior effort is described as sole source due to a proprietary system that only Motorola can service, which suggests continuity with the current need for police radio communications equipment (e.g., VP8000 radios and related accessories/chargers/batteries) supporting the same VA police communications mission.
