Work Details The project involves the following tasks: 1) Installation of additional Data Drops and Power Outlets in Buildings 113, 200, and 228. 2) All conduit, raceways, or cables must be placed behind walls or above ceilings; surface-mounted installations are not permitted unless approved by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). 3) Labeling of all data ports and power outlets must adhere to Hines VA standards, using color-coded cables and faceplates. 4) Emergency power outlets must be labeled with red receptacles. 5) Regular power outlets should match adjacent colors. 6) Work must be performed with minimal disruption to hospital operations. The contractor is responsible for verifying all measurements and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards. Specific locations for installation include various rooms in Buildings 113 and 200, with detailed requirements for each location regarding power sources and installation timing. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract will begin upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and is expected to last for 90 calendar days. Place of Performance Hines VA Medical Center, Hines, IL. Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail) This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent and/or closely related prior contract based on Richard Group’s award (36C77623C0113) for $75,835,423 covering EHRM infrastructure upgrades at the Hines, IL campus. The prior scope includes site preparation, demolition/removal, redundant fiber loop installation, new telecom rooms/UPS rooms/server room renovation, and pulling new data cabling across multiple buildings including Buildings 113 and 200—work that aligns with the current DDPO2 installation of additional data drops and power outlets in those same facilities. The current effort also continues the EHRM-related telecom/electrical infrastructure buildout by adding localized connectivity and power components consistent with the earlier campus-wide upgrades.
