Summary: Background The Department of Public Works at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, is seeking contractors with relevant experience, personnel, and capabilities to perform asphalt rehabilitation work. The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure at Fort Leavenworth through various construction tasks that align with the agency's mission to maintain and improve military facilities. Work Details The work includes: 1) Demolition and disposal of existing asphalt after milling; 2) Partial demolition and repaving with new flexible asphalt; 3) Installation of pavement markings; 4) Furnishing all necessary plant, labor, equipment, and materials in accordance with the drawings and specifications for Flexible Pavement Requirements and Miscellaneous Construction and Repairs. Specific tasks include: - Asphalt roadway improvements to Sherman Ave, Buford Ave, Meade Ave, and B-52 parking lots; - Asphalt roadway improvements to alleys on both the west and east sides of Grant Park; - Installation of thermoplastic pavement markings on roadways and paint markings in parking lots; - Provision of traffic control measures including barricades, cones, directional signs, and flaggers.
