Office Space Lease for NCDOT DMV DLO Wendell in Wake County

Background

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking proposals for the lease of office space for the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in Wendell, Wake County. The goal of this contract is to secure approximately 3,143 net usable square feet of space to accommodate state personnel and equipment, ensuring compliance with various state regulations and standards.

Work Details

The contractor will provide a leased space that meets the following specifications: - Approximately 3,143 net usable square feet required. - Space must be on multiple adjacent floors if necessary. - The preferred location is within 3 miles of Wendell Blvd and Hanor Lane. - The lease term will be for an initial period of 5 years with options for renewal. - The space must include adequate toilet facilities, a kitchenette, a wellness room, and a mother's room. - A minimum of 58 electrical outlets and 14 telecommunication outlet boxes are required. - Parking provisions include 25 client parking spaces and 6 employee parking spaces at no extra charge. - Compliance with local and state building codes, including ADA standards, is mandatory. - The proposal must include a detailed floor plan showing the layout of the space offered.

Period of Performance

The possession of the space is required by January 1, 2028, or as soon thereafter as possible. Construction must begin within six months from Council of State approval.

Proposers must have registration to transact business in North Carolina and comply with all applicable laws regarding Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs).
