DHS SP - FY27 Bread, Buns and Baked Goods (full year) - Shapiro

Background

The Illinois Department of Human Services is seeking a vendor for the purchase and delivery of fresh bread products for the Shapiro Developmental Center located at 100 E. Jeffery Street, Kankakee IL 60901. The goal of this contract is to ensure a consistent supply of fresh bread products for the center's operations during the specified term.

Work Details

The vendor will provide fresh bread products including, but not limited to, various types of bread, buns, and baked goods as required by the Shapiro Developmental Center. The contract will cover the entire fiscal year from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The vendor must comply with all relevant health and safety standards in food preparation and delivery.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at the Shapiro Developmental Center located at 100 E. Jeffery Street, Kankakee IL 60901.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must comply with Standard Illinois Certifications throughout the contract term. This includes certifications related to not being in default on educational loans and compliance with prevailing wage laws when applicable. Additionally, vendors must adhere to all federal and state laws regarding food safety and labor practices. Proof of insurance naming the State as additionally insured is also required.
