Background

The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority is seeking a vendor to provide eco-friendly paint gun cleaning services and machine rental, along with proper disposal of paint shop waste. The agency's mission is to maintain and operate the tollway system in Illinois efficiently and safely.

Work Details

The vendor will provide the following supplies and services: - Rental of an automated paint gun cleaning machine with a five-gallon capacity, minimum 10 CFM capacity, maximum pressure of 120 PSI, foot-operated lid, five cleaning ports in the basin, an additional port with hose for solvent supply, an exhaust system, and a 1-1/4” vent port for fume emissions. - Monthly maintenance including equipment service, repair parts, removal and proper disposal of paint shop waste products. - Specific items to be disposed of include: - Disposal of paint waste (16-gallon drum) four times per year. - Disposal of paint booth filters (55-gallon drum) three times per year. - Disposal of solvent rags (55-gallon drum) four times per year. - Documentation tracking the life of solvents from creation to disposal must be provided upon request. All services must comply with U.S. and Illinois Environmental Protection Agency regulations.

Period of Performance

The estimated duration of this contract shall be for two years from March 02, 2026, to March 01, 2028.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the Illinois Tollway Central Shop located at 3460 S. Finley Road in Downers Grove, Illinois.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must maintain insurance coverage including commercial general liability ($1 million each occurrence), automobile liability ($1 million combined single limit), and worker’s compensation as required by law. The vendor must also comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
