Background

New Castle County’s Department of Community Services is seeking competitive sealed bids for Lead Remediation Contractors as part of its No-Lead Program, also known as the Lead Hazard Reduction and Healthy Homes Program. The goal of this program is to reduce lead hazards in homes and promote healthy living environments through a Lead Hazard Reduction Grant.

Work Details

The selected contractors will be responsible for providing lead remediation services as outlined in the Scope of Work/Specifications identified in Attachment A. This includes, but is not limited to, the removal or encapsulation of lead-based paint, cleaning and disposal of hazardous materials, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations. Contractors must demonstrate at least two years of experience in lead remediation, general contracting, or carpentry. Additionally, all subcontractors must have active certifications in Lead Renovation, Repair and Paint (RRP) and/or Lead-Based Paint Worker/Supervisor (LBP).

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and continue until December 31, 2030, or until funds are expended.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within New Castle County, Delaware.
