WMUA T4 Water/ Sewer Operator Services

Background

The Willingboro Municipal Utilities Authority (WMUA) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP #26-22) for Water/Sewer Operator Services. The WMUA's mission is to manage and oversee the water and sewer systems in Burlington County, New Jersey. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective operation and management of these essential services, which includes compliance with state regulations.

Work Details

The selected operator will provide licensed personnel to manage the WMUA’s water and sewer systems, including: - Overseeing water treatment, distribution, sewer treatment, and collection systems. - Providing a licensed Operator of Record and a fully licensed backup operator. - Preparing and submitting all required monthly and operational reports. - Coordinating sludge and waste removal in compliance with NJDEP regulations. - Providing 24-hour remote monitoring. - Collecting, managing, and submitting all compliance sampling. - Being onsite three days a week from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM to assist with day-to-day operations at the plant. - Responding to emergencies within one hour of notification. Additional services may include supervising plant staff, managing budgets, conducting special studies, and coordinating major repairs.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a period of one year from the date of award.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at the Willingboro Municipal Utilities Authority facilities located in Burlington County, New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements

Proposers must demonstrate at least fifteen years of relevant experience operating mid-sized water and sewer systems in New Jersey. They must also comply with N.J.S.A.10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq., and provide proof of business registration as required by law.
