This Sources Sought Notice is issued for market research purposes only. This is not a Request for Quote, solicitation, or promise to issue a solicitation. The Government is not requesting pricing at this time and will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with responding to this notice. The Department of the Air Force is conducting market research to determine the availability and capability of small business concerns to perform LTV Generator Installation services for the 746th Test Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. The anticipated requirement includes a custom fabrication and installation of a Government-furnished generator into a Large Test Vehicle. Work includes, but may be limited to engineering/fabrication of a heavy-duty slide-out shelf, installation of a weather-resistant enclosure, modification/expansion of the existing vehicle cutout as necessary, and integration of the generator into the vehicle to restore operational capability and support long-term serviceability and maintenance access. FAR Part 12 in conjunction with FAR Part 13 Interested parties shall submit a capability statement that includes the following: - Company name, address, UEI, CAGE code, and point of contact information. - Confirmation of active SAM.gov registration. - Business size under NAICS 811121 and any applicable socioeconomic status. - A brief description of relevant experience performing vehicle modification, custom fabrication, generator/equipment installation, enclosure fabrication, or similar integration work. - Confirmation whether the company is interested in performing as the prime contractor. - Any feedback on the proposed NAICS, PSC, or requirement description. Responses are limited to five pages and shall be submitted to virginia.jones.6@us.af.mil no later than June 19th, 2026, at 9:00AM CDT. The Government will use responses to this notice to assist in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy, including whether the requirement should be set aside for small business.

Background The Department of the Air Force is conducting market research to determine the availability and capability of small business concerns to perform LTV Generator Installation services for the 746th Test Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. The goal of this contract is to restore operational capability and support long-term serviceability and maintenance access for the Large Test Vehicle (LTV) by installing a government-furnished generator. Work Details The contractor shall perform the following tasks: 1. Custom fabrication and installation of a heavy-duty slide-out shelf for the generator. 2. Installation of a weather-resistant enclosure for the generator. 3. Modification and expansion of the existing vehicle cutout as necessary to accommodate the new generator (Model S10020T4: 28.77” H x 24.50” W x 58.18” L, weight: 1,169 lbs). 4. Ensure that the slide-out drawer supports a minimum of 1,462 lbs with locking mechanisms and extends fully for maintenance access. 5. Install a locking door with an IP66 rating to protect against dust and water jets. 6. Properly route all wiring and ensure compliance with OEM manuals for installation. 7. Provide a driver with a CDL for transportation of the LTV to/from Holloman AFB, unless on-site work is approved by the government. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the contract will be performed (if provided) Place of Performance The primary place of performance shall be at the contractor's facility; however, on-site work may be performed at Holloman AFB if approved by the government. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide a capability statement including company information, relevant experience in vehicle modification and generator installation, confirmation of interest in being the prime contractor, and feedback on proposed PSC.
