Background

West Jordan City is seeking general contractor Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for the construction of the Zone 5 North 4.0 MG Water Storage Reservoir. The purpose of this request is to pre-qualify contractors who will be invited to bid on the project, ensuring that only qualified firms are considered for this significant infrastructure development.

Work Details

The project involves constructing a fully buried circular AWWA D110 Type 1 wire-wrapped tank made from reinforced concrete, along with all necessary appurtenant items as specified in the project documents. Additional components include site grading, landscaping, lighting, electrical work, and site piping for the inlet, gravity feed outlet, drain line, and overflow. The project site is located west of U-111 and Terraine Road on Hikers Pass Dr. in West Jordan, UT.

Period of Performance

The anticipated schedule includes releasing bidding documents to pre-qualified bidders in July 2026, with bids due in August 2026. A Notice to Proceed is expected to be issued in September 2026, with final completion targeted for approximately November 2027.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the project site located west of U-111 and Terraine Road on Hikers Pass Dr., West Jordan, UT.

Bidder Requirements

To qualify, contractors must have a proven track record without unresolved claims or damage claims; no projects completed by a surety in the past five years; at least $2 million in general liability insurance; bonding capacity for 100% of the bid price; a current Utah contractor’s license (E100); significant experience (minimum ten years) in constructing reinforced concrete water reservoirs; and have constructed at least two AWWA D-110 Type 1 reservoirs of at least 3 MG capacity within the last eight years.
