Housing Rehab - Delaware County

Background

The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is issuing this solicitation for the rehabilitation of a home located in Delaware County. The agency's mission is to provide quality housing and related services to the Cherokee Nation community. This contract aims to restore a residential property to ensure safe and livable conditions for its occupants.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for various rehabilitation tasks including: - Carpentry: replace base trim, install new closet doors - Electrical: install new bathroom light fixture with heater and vent - Flooring: install vinyl floor tiles in multiple areas - Plumbing: replace commode and install a handicap shower - Drywall & Finish: repair drywall and texture ceilings. The work must adhere to local codes and manufacturer specifications, with all materials being compliant with the Buy American provisions.

Period of Performance

The work must be completed within 20 working days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Work should commence within two weeks of notification.

Place of Performance

The rehabilitation will take place at a residential property located at 2010 Mulberry, Jay, OK 74340, Delaware County.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be TERO certified through the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office. Proof of certification must accompany bid submissions. Contractors are required to provide insurance certificates, including general liability and workers' compensation coverage. Additionally, bidders must comply with Davis-Bacon Wage Rate requirements applicable to this project.
