Background

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is planning to solicit bids for a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build EHRM WAN Path Upgrade construction project at the Roseburg VA Medical Center (VAMC). This project aims to support the recent Electronic Health Record Modernization initiative. Work Details: The contractor will be responsible for assessing, inspecting, and verifying existing conditions prior to construction. The scope includes providing an additional redundant circuit feed and may involve civil, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and electronic security disciplines. Specific tasks include: 1) Providing a redundant fiber network pathway from Bldg. 3 to the southern property line near Eagles Landing; 2) Trenching and backfilling of conduit pathways according to specified details, including detectable warning tape and encasement with red colored concrete; 3) Patching of asphalt concrete (AC) and concrete as required; 4) Installation of two 4-inch Schedule 80 conduits suited for burial with polyester pull tape in each segment, ensuring all joints are solvent welded; 5) Installation of locking and traffic-rated junction boxes along the conduit pathway spaced no more than 500 feet apart; 6) Protection of significant tree roots from damage or severing. Period of Performance: Approximately 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
