State Mailroom Remodels at Taylorsville State Office Building and 250 N State Mail Facility

Background

The State of Utah's Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is seeking bids for the construction project involving the remodel of the mailroom at the Taylorsville State Office Building and a storage room at the State Mail facility. The purpose of this project is to improve the functionality and aesthetics of these spaces, which are critical to the operations of state government. The estimated cost for this construction project is $105,000.00.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for performing renovations in two separate locations: 1) Taylorsville State Office Building Mail Room, Suite 1101, located at 4315 South 2700 West, Taylorsville, Utah; and 2) Storage Room at 250 N State Mail facility. The work includes but is not limited to: conducting a limited asbestos survey and assessment prior to any demolition or renovation activities; ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations regarding hazardous materials; and properly disposing of any identified hazardous materials such as fluorescent bulbs, PCB ballasts, and auto door closers. Specific quantities include: 8 fluorescent bulbs, 4 PCB ballasts, and 1 auto door closer.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and completion is anticipated by June 8, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at two locations: Taylorsville State Office Building (4315 South 2700 West, Taylorsville, Utah) and the State Mail facility (250 N State Mail facility).

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all local regulations regarding hazardous materials management. Contractors must be licensed to perform asbestos abatement if required by survey results. Additionally, contractors should have experience in similar renovation projects and must provide proof of insurance.
