Background

The County of Moore, North Carolina, is seeking bids for a Utility Service Truck for its Public Works Department. The goal of this contract is to procure a new utility service truck that meets specific requirements outlined in the solicitation. The County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.

Work Details

The contract requires the provision of a Utility Service Truck with the following specifications:

Model Year

2026 or newer - Suspension: 550 or 5500 class, Four Wheel Drive (4x4), Crew cab, Chassis with 186” wheelbase, Payload Plus Upgrade, minimum GVWR of 19,500 lbs, High Capacity Trailer Tow Package, Extra Heavy-Duty Suspension. - Engine: Turbo Diesel with automatic transmission (with PTO provision) and 4.30 rear axle. - Exterior: White color with All Terrain Tires, Spare Tire mounted vertically in bed. - Additional features include High Capacity Fuel Tank(s), Skid Plates, Reverse Alarm with ON/OFF switch, Cab Length Step Bars, Strobe lights (White/Amber), Roof Mount LED strobe mini light bar, Go Light LED spotlight with wireless remote. - Interior features include Heavy Duty Vinyl seats (40/20/40), Power Windows & Locks, Electronic shift for 4x4 engagement, Integrated Brake Controller, Cruise Control, AM/FM radio with Bluetooth capabilities, Steering Wheel Controls, Power Inverter (12VDC/400Watt).

Service Body

Model 6132D-54J service body painted white with various utility features including LED lighting in tool bins and cargo area, commercial duty hitch, spray-in bed liner, key-fob controlled locking/unlocking bins and additional equipment such as hydraulic-driven air compressor and front-mounted winch.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by June 22, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the County of Moore Public Works Department located at 130 W. Saunders Street, Carthage, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with the following requirements: - Must provide a signed Bid Form acknowledging receipt of any addenda. - Must include vehicle specifications in the bid packet. - Must submit a notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit and E-Verify Affidavit along with a W-9 Form. - Bidders must maintain minimum insurance coverage including General Liability ($2 million), Auto Liability ($2 million), and Umbrella Coverage ($5 million). - Vendors must be registered with the NC Secretary of State.
