Chemical Purchase

Background

The County of Moore, North Carolina, is issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for chemical purchases specifically for the Public Works Department. The goal of this contract is to procure essential chemicals needed for public works operations, ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards.

Work Details

The contract involves the procurement of the following chemicals: - 17,000 gallons of Caustic Soda 50% - 8,000 gallons of Sodium Hypochlorite 15% - 600 gallons of OP 50 Phosphate Solution. Deliveries will be made in smaller quantities of 300-400 gallons every 2-3 months. The vendor must supply pumping equipment to transfer chemicals from vendor totes to purchaser tanks and ensure all safety compliance during off-loading. Additionally, a fuel surcharge must be included in the bid.

The period of performance for this contract is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered with the NC Secretary of State and comply with the North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Act. They are required to provide minimum insurance coverage including: - General Liability ($2,000,000) - Auto Liability ($2,000,000) - Umbrella Coverage ($5,000,000). Bidders must submit a signed Bid Form acknowledging any addenda along with MSDS Sheets, a notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit, a notarized E-Verify Affidavit, and a W-9 Form.
