The Macon-Bibb County Board of Commissioners is issuing an invitation for sealed bids for the Paving The Way Project 9, aimed at enhancing road infrastructure in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia. The contractor will be responsible for various roadway repair and resurfacing tasks including: - Milling: approximately 13,693.8 tons - Applying bituminous tack: approximately 9,959.12 gallons - Roadway patching: approximately 16,598.53 square yards - Installing 12.5 mm Superpave asphalt: approximately 13,693.8 tons Additional tasks include: - Installing furnished sewer manholes: 145 units - Water valve risers: 79 units - Traffic signal loops: 1 unit - Extensive striping work totaling approximately 79,794 linear feet - Painted crosswalks: 1,394 linear feet - Stop bars: 694 linear feet The contractor must ensure all work complies with applicable codes and regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract period is set for 150 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Work must commence within 10 calendar days following this notice.

Place of Performance

All work will take place within Macon-Bibb County, Georgia, specifically along designated main streets as outlined in the bid documents.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a bid bond of at least 5% of the total base bid. They are required to provide a Bidder Qualification Form, List of Sub-Contractors, Financial & Legal Stability Statement, E-Verify Affidavit, and other specified documents as part of their submission package. Additionally, contractors must have insurance coverage that includes general liability and worker's compensation as per specified limits.
