Jeffersonville Road Sidewalk Project

Background

The Macon-Bibb County Board of Commissioners is issuing an invitation for bids for the Jeffersonville Road Sidewalk Project. The project aims to enhance pedestrian access and safety in Macon-Bibb County, Georgia. The contract is intended to provide necessary infrastructure improvements in alignment with the county's development goals.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the Jeffersonville Road Sidewalk Project. This includes but is not limited to: demolition of existing conditions, grading, construction of sidewalks (4" thick concrete), driveway concrete (6" thick), installation of curb and gutter, traffic control measures, erosion control, and all other necessary work as specified in the project documents. Specific tasks include: - Mobilization, bonding, insurance, cleanup, stakeout, site preparation, and disposal of debris. - Traffic control setup and maintenance. - Grading complete. - Installation of 663 square yards of sidewalk concrete. - Installation of 66 square yards of driveway concrete on prepared subgrade. - Sawed joints in existing pavements totaling 1242 linear feet. - Pavement repair at Perry Rd. intersection including paving and water leak repair. - Installation of 1196 linear feet of 30" curb & gutter including base. - Installation of various drainage systems including reinforced concrete pipes and catch basins as detailed in the bid form.

Period of Performance

The contractor shall commence work within 10 calendar days following issuance of notice to proceed and must complete all work within 150 calendar days from that date.

Place of Performance

The project will be performed on Jeffersonville Road in Macon-Bibb County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid. They are encouraged to utilize minority-owned, women-owned, or disadvantaged business enterprises as subcontractors. Bidders must also provide a completed Bidder Qualification Form, List of Subcontractors, Financial & Legal Stability Statement, Insurability Statement, Certification Regarding Debarment, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and E-Verify Affidavit.
