General Contractor for Construction of the Collins P Lee Memorial Library

Background

The Middle Georgia Regional Library is seeking qualifications from General Contractors for the construction of the new Collins P. Lee Memorial Library located at 237 Harrisburg Road, SW, Milledgeville, GA 31061. The goal of this contract is to renovate the existing Collins P. Lee Community Service Center into a modern library facility that meets community needs.

Work Details

The scope of work includes: 1. Interior reconfiguration of the existing space to accommodate library functions. 2. Upgrades to building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing as necessary for library operations. 3. Site improvements to enhance accessibility and aesthetics around the library premises.

Period of Performance

The Contractor agrees to substantially complete the entire project within 220 consecutive calendar days from the date of execution of the contract. Final completion, including punch list items, is to be completed within 250 consecutive calendar days.

The construction will take place at 237 Harrisburg Road, SW, Milledgeville, GA 31061.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be properly licensed to conduct business in the State of Georgia and must not have been barred by any Federal, State, or Local authority. They must also provide a performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the total amount of the initial year’s contract award upon award.
