Northwest Booster Station Rehab

Background

The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County (ACCGov) is seeking proposals for the rehabilitation of the Northwest Booster Pump Station, which includes replacing controls and pumps. ACCGov serves a population of approximately 100,000 and provides various local services including public utilities. The goal of this contract is to enhance the functionality and reliability of the water supply system.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and services to complete the Northwest Booster Station Rehab. Specific tasks include: 1. Removal of existing equipment: 2 Split Case Pumps, 2 Motors, 2 Suction Reducing 90 Elbows, 2 Discharge Reducers, 2 Discharge Angles Control Valves, and 1 Panel. 2. Installation of new equipment provided by Goforth Williamson, Inc: 1 Grundfos HydroMPC Skid. 3. Additional installations including various pipes, elbows, flanges, a junction box, and flow meter. 4. Forming and pouring a concrete base for the HydroMPC skid. 5. Verifying all equipment operates correctly and performing vendor start-up on equipment. 6. Site cleanup after completion.

Period of Performance

The project is expected to commence upon contract award and continue until all specified tasks are completed satisfactorily.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Northwest Booster Pump Station located at 1100 Tallassee Rd, Athens GA 30606.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with Georgia's E-Verify requirements as stipulated in O.C.G.A §13-10-91 for employment eligibility verification. Additionally, contractors must maintain appropriate insurance coverage including Workers’ Compensation and General Liability insurance as specified in the RFP.
