FY 2025 GTIB Resurfacing Project Phase 1

Background

The Town of Iron City is issuing a solicitation for the FY 2025 GTIB Resurfacing Project Phase 1. The project aims to enhance local infrastructure by resurfacing approximately 0.4 miles of roadway, which is essential for improving transportation and accessibility within the community. This project will be funded by a grant from the Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the resurfacing of approximately ± 0.4 miles of roadway as detailed in the construction drawings. The work includes all associated measures required for the complete project. The timeline for substantial completion is set at 30 consecutive calendar days, with a total of 45 consecutive calendar days allowed for contract close-out. All work must adhere to the provided plans and specifications.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to be completed within 30 consecutive calendar days to reach substantial completion, followed by an additional period of 15 days for contract close-out.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at various locations along the ± 0.4 miles of roadway in Iron City, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation Contractors and must include their license numbers on the bid envelope. Additionally, bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified cashier’s check amounting to at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. Contractors and subcontractors are required to register and participate in the E-Verify program to verify work eligibility information.
