Summary: Background This solicitation is issued by the US Coast Guard Regional Support Team – Southwest (RST-SW) for the project titled 'Replace Front Gate at Sector Humboldt Bay.' This project aims to enhance access control at Sector Humboldt Bay. Work Details The contractor shall replace the existing front gate at USCG Sector Humboldt Bay with a like-in-kind gate designed to accommodate a larger opening. All materials must adhere to applicable ASTM standards for gate systems, structural steel, and construction components. The installation must ensure seamless operation, including secure latch mechanisms and smooth motor operation, while meeting UL and OSHA safety standards. Gate components must be corrosion-resistant or treated with weather-resistant coatings according to industry standards such as ASTM A123 for zinc coating and ASTM D2244 for color retention if painting is required. Period of Performance The contractor shall commence work within 10 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed and complete all work within 60 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed.
