Background The United States Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) is seeking a web-based cheminformatics platform to support its mission in chemical research, particularly in drug development and related fields. The goal of this contract is to acquire a software license that meets specific technical requirements to enhance the institute's capabilities in managing and analyzing chemical interactions. Work Details The contractor is required to provide a web-based cheminformatics platform with the following Minimal Essential Characteristics (MEC): 1. Accessible through modern web browsers without client-side installation. 2. Integration of chemical substance indices with primary literature, patents, or references. 3. Indexing of over 250 million chemical substances and 70 million protein and nucleic acid sequences. 4. Manual curation for reproducibility and reliability. 5. Indexing of over 150 million chemical reactions. 6. Predictive retrosynthetic analysis capabilities. 7. Compatibility with life sciences content such as bioactivity, toxicology, and pharmacology information. 8. Property-based searches integrating substance information with vendor catalogs traceable to primary literature sources. 9. Support for chemical research including drug development, chemical reactions, drug metabolism, and intellectual property rights.
