Video Intercom System

Summary: Background The solicitation is issued by the United States Air Force for the installation of a Video Intercom System at the air traffic control tower located in Building 7104 on Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota. The existing intercom system has been inoperable for several years, and the goal of this contract is to provide a new audio/visual intercom system that meets user performance requirements. Work Details The contractor shall be responsible for the following tasks: 1) Remove all pre-existing intercom equipment and wires. 2) Remove the existing telephone from the 1st floor entrance foyer and replace it with a call button featuring audio and video capabilities. 3) Program the call button to first contact the tower cab (8th floor) when activated, allowing occupants to see and hear visitors. 4) Ensure that if no one is in the tower cab, the call button can contact the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th floors individually with similar audio/visual capabilities. 5) All floors must have intercom capabilities to communicate with each other. 6) Securely attach all new equipment to walls or provide shelves if desktop devices are used. 7) Ensure that the intercom system is closed and AC powered without internet dependency. 8) Provide training and operating instructions for facility managers. 9) Repair any damage caused during installation. Bidders must provide bid/payment/performance bonds and possess relevant contractor licensing. Additionally, bidders must have a valid CAGE code to be eligible for award.
