This award will be made on a Lowest Price basis. Award will be made to the responsible Quoter whose quotation conforms to the solicitation requirements. Summary: Background The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is issuing this solicitation for a construction project at the Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) in Karnack, Texas. The goal of the contract is to replace the visitor center trailer roof and perform necessary interior ceiling repairs. This project aligns with the agency's mission to manage and conserve fish, wildlife, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: - Remove the existing roof and haul it to a legal landfill. - Install a new 30-year architectural shingle roof on the building. - Install synthetic felt and drip edge flashing around the perimeter of the roof. - Install two low profile vents and one lead flashing vent. - Replace damaged insulation and drywall on the ceiling, including taping, floating, texturing, and painting of the repaired area. - Maintain a clean job site at all times, including rolling with magnets to collect debris. Period of Performance The contractor shall begin performance within 3 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed and complete all work within 10 calendar days thereafter. Bidders must provide performance and payment bonds as required for contracts over $35,000; however, due to the project magnitude, these bonds are not required for this contract.
