Background

Bartow County is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Planning and Engineering Design Services related to the Cartersville Bartow Metropolitan Planning Organization (CBMPO) FY 2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan. The goal of this contract is to select qualified consultants to assist the CBMPO in updating the community's Metropolitan Transportation Plan as mandated by federal law, with an expected completion date of February 2028.

Work Details

The selected consultants will provide engineering design services, including but not limited to: 1. Travel Modeling: Collaborating with GDOT to develop travel model inputs and scenarios for the CBMPO Travel Demand Model. 4. MTP Development: Creating a new FY 2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan that identifies unmet travel needs and incorporates community input. 5. Public Outreach: Facilitating public involvement activities, including surveys and meetings to gather community feedback on transportation needs.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon receipt of written authorization to proceed and is expected to be completed by February 6, 2028.

Bidder Requirements

Firms must be prequalified in specific Georgia Department of Transportation Area Classes relevant to urban area planning. Additionally, firms must comply with insurance requirements including general liability coverage of at least $1 million, professional liability coverage of at least $1 million, and workers' compensation as required by Georgia law.
