The City of Albany is issuing this solicitation for the Drone Pod Installation project, which includes a comprehensive roof replacement and specialized drone infrastructure at the community policing center located at 1721 E Oglethorpe Blvd, Albany, GA. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facility's capabilities for community policing through the installation of drone docking systems.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for:

1) Roof Demolition and Preparation

- Scraping, cleaning, and preparing the existing roof substrate; - Installing a heavy-duty 60-Mil Fleece Back TPO roof recovery system with a 20-year warranty; - Installing new TPO base flashing and perimeter coping; - Replacing old roof drains with two new retro aluminum roof drains.

2) Drone Infrastructure

- Constructing three independent 4' x 4' concrete mounting pads for drone docking, ensuring they are leveled within ±1° tolerance; - Installing protective TPO pads; - Anchoring hardware with structural bolts.

3) Community Center Logistics

- Installing a commercial access ladder with an OSHA-compliant safety cage; - Maintaining clear pathways and safety zones around the drone pods; - Ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.

4) Material Management

- Coordinating crane operations for heavy equipment transport to the rooftop; - Managing daily debris removal to maintain a clean worksite.

Period of Performance

The contract must be completed within 120 calendar days following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Bidder Requirements
