Tree Removal from Falls Creek Fish Ladder

Background

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) is seeking contractors for tree removal services from the Falls Creek fish ladder located in Petersburg, Alaska. The goal of this contract is to ensure the fish ladder is clear of trees and root wads that may obstruct fish passage.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for tree removal spanning the Falls Creek Fish Ladder, including the removal of all trees and root wads currently present in the ladder. Images are attached to provide visual context for the work required. Bids exceeding $6,000 may be deemed non-responsive and rejected.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period is expected to commence upon award and must be completed within a timeframe specified by the contractor in their quotation.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a valid Alaska Business License. They should indicate if they qualify for Alaska Bidders' Preference, Alaska Veteran Preference, or Military Skills Program Preference. Additionally, within five working days of notice from the state, the apparent low bidder must submit a list of subcontractors that will be used in the performance of the contract.
