PV System for Pentucket MHS

Background

The Pentucket Regional School District is seeking bids for the construction of a Photovoltaic (PV) System on the roof of the Pentucket Middle High School located at 24 Main Street, West Newbury, MA. This project aims to enhance the school's energy efficiency and sustainability by utilizing solar energy. The contract is prepared by Solar Design Associates, Inc., with the intent to align with Massachusetts General Laws regarding public procurement.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor and materials necessary for constructing the PV system as per the specifications outlined in the project manual. This includes installing solar panels, inverters, and related electrical systems. The project also requires compliance with safety standards and regulations, including OSHA training for workers. Bidders must hold a DCAMM Certificate in Electrical or Energy Management Systems.

A bid deposit of 5% of the bid value is required in the form of a bid bond. Additionally, bidders must ensure that they can procure sufficient materials to qualify for Safe Harbor status.
