Used 4, 000-Gallon Commercial Water Truck (One or More Units)

Background

The Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors is soliciting sealed bids for one or more used 4,000-gallon commercial water trucks. The purpose of this procurement is to acquire a vehicle that will serve as a tanker/tender for a volunteer fire department within Lauderdale County, Mississippi. The County aims to ensure that the trucks meet or exceed specified requirements outlined in the bid documents.

Work Details

Bidders are required to provide one or more used commercial water trucks that meet the following specifications:

Model Year

2016 or newer - Mileage: Not to exceed 120,000 miles - Must be fully operational and capable of delivery to Lauderdale County. Specifications include: 1. Chassis & Vehicle Specifications:

Preferred Manufacturer

International chassis. - Minimum GVWR sufficient to safely transport a full 4,000-gallon water tank. - Length: Approximately 336 inches. - Engine: Diesel engine suitable for heavy-duty operation. - Automatic transmission must be fully functional. - Tires must have a minimum of 50% tread life remaining. - Brakes must pass safety inspection and meet DOT requirements. 2. Water Tank & Pump System:

Tank Capacity

Minimum of 4,000 gallons.

Pump Capacity

700 GPM or greater with pump and roll capability. - Configuration includes multiple fill ports and dump valves with specific height requirements. 3. Additional Features & Work: - Required features include rear dump valves, epoxy coating of the tank interior, and transport/delivery to Lauderdale County. 4. Condition Requirements: - Units must be free of major mechanical defects and leaks, with all hydraulics and controls certified operational.

Period of Performance

The bids are due by 9:00 a.m. CST on June 17, 2026, with no late bids accepted. The contract will be awarded shortly after the bid opening.

The delivery location for the trucks is Lauderdale County, Mississippi.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit detailed descriptions, photos, and supporting documentation verifying compliance with specifications. Bids must include completed forms regarding vehicle details (make, model, year, VIN), current mileage and condition report, itemized pricing including any additional work needed, warranty information for new parts or labor, and an executed copy of the Bid Conflict of Interest & Non-Collusion forms.
