Fuel Truck Procurement Solicitation

Background

Delta State University is seeking bids for the procurement of a new aviation refueling truck to support its Flight Operations. The goal of this contract is to acquire a vehicle that meets current industry standards and is capable of carrying 100LL fuel, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Work Details

The contract involves the provision of one (1) new aviation refueling truck that must be built to current industry standards and be 'road legal'. The truck's tank will exclusively carry 100LL fuel. Bidders must ensure that all work and products meet rigorous safety standards, including UL or other recognized safety standards, using NFPA-407 as guidelines. The equipment proposed must be new, although the tank may be an overhauled/refurbished unit. Bidders are required to provide satisfactory evidence of the manufacturer's ability to construct, supply service parts, and provide technical assistance.

Period of Performance

The bids must be submitted by July 2, 2026, with the contract performance period commencing upon acceptance of the bid.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at Delta State University located in Cleveland, MS.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all rules, regulations, and statutes relating to purchasing in the State of Mississippi. A copy of General Liability Insurance for coverage in an amount not less than $1,000,000 must be provided within five business days of bid acceptance. Bids should be submitted in sealed packages marked with the bid number and RFx number.
