Hangar Door Replacement at Natchitoches Regional Airport

Background

The City of Natchitoches is issuing a solicitation for the Hangar Door Replacement project at the Natchitoches Regional Airport. This project is part of the FAA AIG No. 3-22-0034-035-2026 initiative, aimed at improving airport facilities to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

Work Details

The contract involves the construction work required for the replacement of hangar doors at the Natchitoches Regional Airport. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services necessary to complete the project as per the specifications outlined in the contract documents prepared by KSA Engineers, Inc. The work must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Specific tasks include but are not limited to: - Demolition of existing doors - Installation of new hangar doors - Ensuring compliance with safety standards during construction - Maintaining operational safety on airports during construction as per AC 150/5370-2G.

Period of Performance

The contractor must commence work within ten (10) days following receipt of the 'Notice to Proceed' and is required to complete the project within ninety (90) calendar days from the arrival of hangar door equipment on site.

The work will be performed at Natchitoches Regional Airport located in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed under Louisiana Revised Statute 37:2150-2164 in the category of Building Construction. A bid bond or certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the bid price must accompany each bid. Successful bidders will also need to provide performance and payment bonds equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to participate in Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) programs and must comply with federal regulations regarding nondiscrimination.
