Work Details

The contractor will provide roadway sweeping services in two designated regions along the Garden State Parkway: Northern Region (MP 102 to 172.3) and Southern Region (MP 0 to 102). The contractor must furnish all necessary equipment, labor, and tools for scheduled and emergency sweeping operations. Specific requirements include: 1. Provision of a high dump sweeper with a qualified operator. 2. Ownership or lease of at least six sweepers. 3. Submission of vehicle registration titles for the sweepers within five days of award. 4. Sweepers must have a water system to minimize dust. 5. Sweepers must be equipped with rotating beacon lights and a flashing arrowboard for safety. 6. Minimum sweeping path of ten feet with a rear pickup broom. 7. Dump height of at least 11'6" for efficient disposal into Authority-supplied dump trucks.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective for two years from the date of award, with an option to extend for two additional one-year terms at the Authority's discretion.
